Title: Saying Goodbye epilogue Author: pulsar (pulsar03@juno.com) Warnings: Yaoi. Daiken/Kensuke. References to Miyaken (well, they got married, so it stands to reason...). I keep the het purely G-rated, though. I have no desire to read or write about Miyako getting some. Archive: The Yaoi Collection (www.yaoicollection.com), Yummy Yummy Yaoi! A Buffet of Bishounen! (http://simon_the_duck.tripod.com/Yaoi/), and Satashii's digimon fanfic archive (http://digifics.mirrorz.com) If anyone else wants it, just ask! Disclaimer: Not mine. 'Nuff said. Notes: Thankies to Rayamon for betaing! This is dedicated to her. And speaking of Rayamon, I was telling her that her fics scare me because they're so angsty and twisted and violent and I challenged her to write something happy and fluffy, and I decided that since mostly everything I write is happy and fluffy, I'd write an angsty fic for once. This is the fic. Enjoy! BTW, this is Aki's POV again. _word_ = italicized Saying Goodbye epilogue Daddy came home the other day. He seems happy now. The first thing he did when he walked in the door was pick up Mommy, swing her around, and kiss her. She giggled and he smiled and then we all went out for ice cream. He doesn’t cry anymore. He still looks at that picture, but now he smiles. Today when he came home from work, he gave me a new bottle of cotton candy bubble bath and when he tucked me in at night, he read me my favorite bedtime story. Later I got up to get a drink and he was in the living room, leaning over that picture and touching the glass on it gently. He smiled, but he still looked kind of sad. He sat there for a second and then he set the photo on a table, turned off the light, and went to his room. I was real quiet and stood in the shadows and he didn’t see me. Once his door was shut, I went to the living room and turned on the lamp. I looked at the picture Daddy had been holding. I was right, it was _the_ picture, and when I set it back down, I noticed something odd on the glass. I picked it back up. It was a smudgy fingerprint. It looked like Daddy had been running his finger along the glass, like he’d been trying to touch someone. I wiped the smudge off Mr. Motomiya’s face and went back to bed. I wasn’t thirsty anymore. ------------------------------------------------------ The End. I hope you've all enjoyed this fic. Please let me know what you thought of it.
